9-4-01 ------ Well well well, Lookie here it's an update.....! Anyway, big news and even bigger NEWS! Oh and I realize this is PRETTY darn buggy, but what can I say, this is all i got till the next move. First off I'd like to say that I'm sorry for the inconvenience this must be causing some of you, so I guess an explanation is in order. Well this site WAS hosted on my cousins college account at USM, however as with all college careers, they must end. So my cousin's graduating and HelixFictions needs a new home. Is this our New HOME?!!! HELL NO!!! However, this is a place the site will reside for the time being, consider it an apartment before moving into a house. Most of the fics don't work, and I'm not going to fix it unless I get alot of argument out of the general populace out there over it. I plan on having a new space in the very new future so I'll fix it there. About the new site ------- first off I plan on registering a domain name for once, and I doubt it will be HelixFictions, I'm thinking www.FanimeAndFantasy.com I'd really appreciate some input on that, it'd help out alot! Now as for the site itself, it'll will be ten times bigger than this site, yet easier for low bandwidth users, or at least thats how I'm hoping to design it. I plan on using alot of flash stuff to make the site more interesting, yet again not at the expense of download time. Some of the things We plan on putting on this site include --- Music videos (from three different, perhaps four, artist), fanfics (duh!), articles on available anime and some on unreleased anime, both about, and our opinions about them. overviews and synopsis' of current mainstream fantasy suchas Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan, Piers Anthony, and such, and news on the current happenings in the anime industry and how it effects you and the world around you! Also many new original art pieces by yours truly! Other stuff as our imagination permits. Another author or two will be added to our roster as well, Jay Thacker, for sure. More on that as it develops! YES were still working on our fics, TDS - The Devil's Symphony is getting worked on and will have a few "A FEW" new chapters upon completion of the new site. Also the "original story" thats been collecting dust on the bottom the stories page will be seeing alot of work as well, we plan on making this as good as a real published book, or as close to it as we can come, so we're really gonna need some support on it. April 10th, 2001 - A Bit of Treasure Hunter News - (well sorta.) Anyway I've actually been contemplating the future of Treasure Hunter and I'm thinking I might completely rewrite what I've got. Now don't worry the concept, plot, characters, and such that I've been using thus far should for the most part remain unchanged. However, I'm hoping to make the overall story better and I can use YOUR help!!! First off I'm reconsidering the tone of the story. Right now it's nestled in a semi-serious semi-comedy nich, and I'm trying to decide if I should drop the serious side and make a zaney fic, suchas 'Girl days' or 'Nukem till the Glow', or drop the comdy side and make a strictly serious fic, or leave it in the original written tone. I'd appreciate responses to this! Also I'm looking for responses to the chapters I already have written and posted, so I can find what needs to be changed. So if you've read TH and liked it overall but found one or two small things that bothered you this is your time to give some input and maybe have it changed. C&C PEOPLE!!! This is what I'm asking for, I want to majorly overhaul my fic and I WANT some input. GIVE ME C&C!!!

March 26, 2001 - Well I'm steadily working to make this site better. A special thanks to the ONE guy who answered my poll, since his was the only opinion I received I based all of my current updates on his and a friends response, thus you see a gate with a "No Frames" option. That was his major complaint. If that guy will re-email me I'll see about adding some sorta bonus for him in the future if I ever come up with one. I ask this since hotmail deleted a lot of my emails before I ever got around to downloading them. And if you could, see about resending that email if you kept it. oh well. I've added a guestbook, not that anybody cares, and I'm working on a simple point and click poll system for the other 19 or so lazy people who visit this site that didn't take the time to answer the poll. Anyway expect future updates real soon. (but don't get your hopes up too high!) -Greg
March 6, 2001 - Well I still haven't figured a way to post my music-vid, and I've already have another to post. Hopefully one day I can get these things posted but till then my music-vid page is officially closed. I will keep working on this problem but I don't know how much good it'll do...Wondering where the next chapter of 'The Devil's Symphony' is? ME TOO!

IN OTHER NEWS------ I'm wanting some feedback on several issues concerning this site and future fanfics. So here's a few questions. ---
2. What fanfic are you most interested in seeing continued above all else!
3. How would you rate this site on a scale of -- 1-excellent 2- good 3-average 4-poor 5-horrible. IE users will probably have problems with this page regardless. (gomen!)
4. If I (Greg) were to begin works on another crossover, which would you most like to see? -Multi-xover-Outlaw star, with Ranma 1/2, slayers, and Tenchi... A cross with Slayers and Zelda.... or a cross with Ranma 1/2 and ANNE RICE'S Vampire Chronicles.

LAST BIT OF NEWS!!! I've added a section that I will fill with essays and thoughts on fanfiction. Right now it features an essay by C. Jones, entitled "The Horrible Fanfiction List." I also hope to acquire the rights to a letter from Terry Brooks, author of the Shannara series and several other books, in which he discusses his thoughts on copyright infringement and fanfiction, this letter is also the reason I will be taking "The Faerie of Shannara" down shortly. Not because I fear legal action but because I respect the author too much to go against his wishes. His books are after-all the reason I write. The letter can currently be found in the news section at Terrybrooks.net.
Whew, I think thats all. Hopefully I'll have something substantial to add next update, like a chapter or something! Oh and think I need a new page to post my news? It's getting kinda crowded huh? -----Greg
February 8, 2001 - My temper is slowly getting worse. I uploaded Gohansrage ONCE again to sharehouse under another alias just in case and still it got deleted within 12 hours, so enough is enough! If I can't get a decent response from them, which up to this point I haven't, I'm either going to have to give up or go somewhere else.......IF ANYONE knows where I can upload large size files in the ranges of 50 to 500mb for keeps and for free please email me and let me know... All I know about is xoom and sharehouse and since their one in the same now, it's my only option, if you know of a site that does virtually the same thing as NBCI Sharehouse and xoom.com please let me know.--------- On another note, you'll notice a neat little chatroom has been added to the site. I don't really expect many people to get much use out of it, however once I can get a webclock for my page that will display MY time to everyone else, I'll start scheduling chat sessions where people can talk to either ME or Jon or Both of Us.
February 3, 2001 - OKAY I'M PISSED!!! I got a reply about my music vid that it wasn't working again, and I checked it out and what I found out made me mad! It seems sharehouse is deleting my files for NO REASON AT ALL! So I know the problem now, IT'S SHAREHOUSE! I'll try my best to fix this problem ASAP and when I have and know it will stay that way, I'll let everyone know!

January 30, 2001 - Okay, so here it is, the major site update I had been talking about. The TDS site I mentioned about earlier isn't up yet because the fanart isn't complete, but I should have that all finished by sometime tonight. My video is available in the music video's section, and chapters 1-3 of TDS are available in the same place the story has been. I'm real tired right now, so perhaps I'll think of something more to write when I wake up later.
January 28, 2001 - Just a quick news update, the next update I make should be a big one! Chapter 2 is almost finished for "The Devils Symphony" and will be posted along with 3 within probably the next week (Hopefully). Also I hope to have a bit of fanart to accompany this, so if all goes well "TDS" might have it's own little page! Another project you can look foward to is I just completed a DBZ music video, it's VERY awesome, and should be available within the next couple of weeks, probably when I upload chapters 2 & 3 for "TDS", It's a big file though, about 29 MB's!
January 14, 2001 - Fixed random problems throughout the site, linked the various links I had to a new page instead of appearing within my main frame, placed the hit counter in a better place, and a few odds and ends stuff.

January 5, 2001 - Uploaded my page. All story links connect to the same page. This is due to the fact that I don't have enough stuff on the fics to warrant individual pages but it's in my plans to do so.

January 27, 2002 - well heres the latest post not that it's anything really special... :( .. I simply made this post to accomplish two things. 1.) tell you that the new site is slowly being worked on, but I haven't an estimate on when it will be ready. Probably a while, I'm trying to learn new software to accomplish this. Hopefully the site will warrant this wait... I'm struggling here.... (sigh)...... 2.) I've had enough request to rework the links to my stories so I have done this. All previous chapters have been reconnected for your pleasure, however no new chapters have been added. I have also added a status remark for each story to help you get an idea of whats going on and why nothings being done. And as a last note despite from the looks of it there doesn't seem to be any work on these current fics, I must also relate that other fanfics are being worked on so you can rest assured that the wait is not wholey in vain.....
